Ihaven't seen the cute couple on the blog today since we photographed them at their engagement session in Boulder last summer. I've been looking forward to photographing them on their wedding day for about a year now and I'm so excited to get to share their beautiful spring garden wedding day photos. It was truly a perfect wedding day. The weather was gorgeous with huge pillowy puffy white clouds decorating the deep blue sky. During the ceremony the birds were delightfully chirping which totally contributed to the relaxed and nature-filled feel of the day. There were a few random sprinkles which kept us cool but no down pour of rain. It truly couldn't have been nicer outside. I loved the pretty pastel colors from the bridesmaids dresses to the bouquet and even the cupcakes. This wedding was the very picture of a pretty classic spring garden wedding at a farm.

Andrew and Reid, affectionately known as "Dreid," are such a fun-loving and unique pair. Meeting them and observing them on their wedding day you might assume that their love is a newer love due to how passionate they still are for each other but you'd be wrong because they have already been a pair for around 8 years now. I love when a couple who have already been together for many years give off that air of having just met each other! When we met for beers at my place they told me the story of how they asked the same friend to help them propose to one another and he had to keep it a secret from the both of them that they were both planning to ask. It's like the premise to a funny rom-com right? Eventually they both went through with their proposal, Reid's at a favorite hiking trailhead with a picnic and drinks in Boulder and Andrew's in Mexico where they were both headed to a music festival. Speaking of music festivals, these two are wild about music. Their wedding décor incorporated so many fun little aspects like a custom Crosswalk sign their "groomies" (otherwise known as the wedding party) created and the willcall guestcards with the tables named after various concert venues. And a friend of the family created some of the most unique wedding décor I've ever seen with giant hanging jellyfish that lit up and completely transformed the big white tent at Chautauqua Dining Hall. They did a great job making their wedding feel a little bit like a music festival and all of the bright yellow sunflowers throughout the décor instantly gave it a sunny mood. I've got to give a shout out to the Chautauqua catering too because the taco dinner that Reid and Drew chose for their wedding was absolutely delicious! And those views of the flatirons at the park are incredible as always. There's a reason that Chautauqua is an institution in Boulder. You can't think of the city without imaging that view!

My favorite! I loved the classic romance and wanted to give it a bit of a vintage look.
Iphotographed at the Red Rocks Trading Post two weekends in a row and I thought for sure that at least one of the weddings I was photographing there would have nice warm sunny weather but I was totally wrong. Just like last year, Colorado's spring has been quite soggy with not a lot of sunshine which is the opposite of what it's known for. Analise and Corey were planning to get married at the Trading Post backyard at Red Rocks but due to the wet weather it was moved off of the grass and under the balcony. The guests were still able to enjoy the gorgeous scenery without getting too soaked under there. And it even calmed down enough for us to get some really lovely portraits in front of that view. The sun even peeked its way out for a little bit while Analise and Corey were roaming around the trails for their romantic portraits. Corey looked so handsome in his blue air force uniform and I absolutely loved the braided crown hairstyle Analise wore. She also changed into the cutest retro style dress for the reception. Analise's grandmother was kind enough to open up her home and backyard for the after party reception but when the weather made it known that it wasn't going to cooperate they were forced to move the party indoors to the Joseph P. Kennedy Jr. American Legion Hall in Arvada, Colorado. It was a really nice low-key affair with Analise and Corey mingling with their friends and family throughout the evening. They are heading off together to Japan soon where Corey will be stationed and I'm so happy for them that they were able to get married with their friends and family surrounding them with their love before moving back out of the country.

Colorado has stayed pretty true to its reputation this month for having wild mood swings with the weather. Springtime in Colorado is famously unpredictable and you just never know when it'll decide to throw out one last snow storm. Kat and Carlo have been planning to hold their wedding at the Red Rocks Trading Post, an outdoor ceremony venue, for over a year now. And on the day of their wedding it was chilly and gray with snow falling down. The day before their wedding I heard rumor that the ceremony may be moved to the Hyatt Regency DTC hotel where their wedding reception was to take place due to the wintry-like weather and my heart sank for them. But, I am pleased to report that they chose to keep it outdoors, brave the elements, and it was so worth it because of its beauty. I have to give mad props to all of their family who traveled from Peru and bundled up to take part in the celebration. There was also family there who traveled from Michigan but I assume that they are better acclimated to cold temperatures!
Speaking of Michigan, Kat is a big sports fan (particularly a fan of baseball) and I love that she included the University of Michigan and the Yankees (her favorite baseball team) into her "something blue" with the garter. There were a lot of cute baseball themed influences throughout the wedding décor including her comfy shoes and the seating place cards. Guest names were printed on really cute tickets with the names of different baseball stadiums in place of table numbers with peanuts as a finishing touch of course. And it was really cozy at the Hyatt Regency DTC where the reception was held in the penthouse Centennial Room. The floor to ceiling windows throughout the space showed off the cold blue weather outside while we all stayed warm at the party inside. And it was quite the party! So much merry-making and family reunioning and flat out fun-having. Congratulations to Kat and Carlo!
