elcome to the journal for April O’Hare Photography! Here you’ll find all of my latest photographic outings with the couples, families, seniors and small businesses that I get to work with and make beautiful photographs for. You may also see a personal post here and there discussing my life or my travels with my teeny family of one husband and three cats! Sometimes I even write advice articles with tips to help make your photo experience better which you can check out under the “Educational” category.

Take your time and look around! Type in the place where you’ll be getting married in the search box to see if I’ve photographed there before. At the bottom of the page I’ve highlighted some of my favorite sessions and weddings from the past. Grab a drink and have fun going down the photo rabbit hole!

Civic Center Park Wedding Photos During Winter in Colorado

January 16, 2012

Today I have an adorable Civic Center Park Wedding photography session to share on the journal.  I met up with Ian & Kasi (sounds like Cassie:) on Saturday afternoon for a post-wedding photo session.  They met while attending CU Boulder and decided they wanted to get married.  They tied the knot this past week at the Denver courthouse.  Right outside of the courthouse is Civic Center Park which is a great place to do pictures after a courthouse wedding.  The park is full of gorgeous gardens but they don’t have anything exciting growing at this time of year.  No worry, the architecture at Civic Center Park is beautiful and makes for great photo backdrops.  My favorite area to create Civic Center Park Wedding photos is on the South side of the park where the Greek Amphitheater is.  Normally it’s being used as a place for rallys, concerts, marches, and public events, but it was nice and quiet the day I met up with Ian and Kasi.  I also love that it’s right next door to the central branch of the Denver Public Library which has some cool photo ops like the one in the main walkway below.  Also in this area is the Denver Art Museum which has really cool modern architecture.  There is also a cute red British phone booth right outside of Pints Pub that I love using at photo sessions.  These two are so adorable and photogenic and also super sweet.

Congratulations to the both of them!

How cute are they?
