Denver High School Senior Photography | Daniels Park Sedalia, Colorado
Poor Bethany and I have had to reschedule her senior photos so many times due to the unpredictable spring weather that Colorado is known for and that we've definitely been experiencing as of late. Even as I write this I hear we may get another snowstorm on Friday! Originally we wanted to get the lilac blossoms at City Park but when the heavy spring snowstorm took those out I suggested we change location. Daniels Park is located just south of Highlands Ranch and west of Castle Pines. I've only photographed at the park one time before and it was on a frigid winter day in December. I mostly remember the low temperature but I also remember it having one hell of a view so I thought maybe it was time to try again. I am so glad that we did because I could not get enough of the views which they say reach from Pikes Peak all the way to Longs Peak! It was a little on the windy side but I suspect that's just how it always is at this location. Bethany managed to work with it though and we used it to our advantage for that awesome windswept hair look! There were a bunch of other people out enjoying the views that evening and I think after you see the pictures below you'll understand why. (Not related, but I could totally see this being a pretty awesome picnic date location!) I couldn't ask for better scenery as the sun was setting. Bethany was a total natural in front of the camera and part of me wonders if it's because she has some experience working behind the lens too. She photographed a couple of her classmates' senior yearbook photos earlier this year and enjoys photographing. She is a very driven gal with a lot of independence. She's planning to join the navy after high school and I wish her all the best in her endeavors after high school!
