Last week I drove south to Colorado Springs to meet up with this very fun family who was visiting from Iowa. One part of their family moved out here to Colorado Springs not too long ago and the rest of the family took a summer road trip to come visit and enjoy a little bit of family time while enjoying the scenery. And boy is the scenery hard to beat when you are in Colorado Springs. Garden of the Gods is one of my favorite places to photograph because of its pretty and dramatic red rock formations sprinkled throughout the park. It also has incredible views of the gorgeous blue snow covered mountains that Colorado is known for. We met up at the Visitor’s Center and I had them follow me around the park stopping at the various picturesque places I had scoped out ahead of time. We were even able to beat the rain and get one last great shot of the family all together before we called it a night and they headed off for their ice cream treat. This is just a small handful of the great photos we were able to get with the family.
