Lakewood Maternity Photos in Colorado

I have the cutest Lakewood maternity photos to share on the journal today. Becky is the gal featured in these and she’s one of my oldest friends. We met forever ago in high school marching band where she played the flute very well and I played the clarinet quite badly, haha. We didn’t know anything about football back then so we would spend the entire game going over SNL skits like the Ambiguously Gay Duo instead of paying attention to the game and every so often running through the school’s fight song or a catchy marching band version of Santana’s Oye como va (which I have to say was super repetitive and boring to play when you are a 3rd stringer crappy clarinet player).

But I digress. We are much older now and still get to hang out with each other every so often. We’ve gone through lots of life events together now varying from “owning” the city of Denver at various nightspots to being a bridesmaid at her wedding. But her biggest life change to date is just around the corner and I couldn’t be more happy for her and her husband, James. They’ll be bringing home a brand new baby girl to round out their household of tiny yappy dogs this fall? To celebrate this special time in their life we created some cute Lakewood maternity photos. We headed over to Kountze Lake behind the Lakewood Heritage Center for their maternity photos. I had completely forgotten this place existed but it’s a pretty neat little nature area nestled along a super busy stretch of Wadsworth near Belmar. It was the perfect easy location for us to meet and create these pretty photos of them together. I can’t get over how cute Becky is as a pregnant lady. And I cannot wait to meet their daughter in just a couple short months! Congratulations, Becky and James!
