Colorado Fall Color Family Photography | Ironbridge Gold Club Glenwood Springs
If you have been a long time blog reader of mine, you may recognize the cuties on the blog this evening. I've been photographing them for years, since before their beautiful girls were even born back when Jen and Pascal were first engaged. It's been so much fun watching their family change and grow throughout the years. They live in Glenwood Springs and it's always a pleasure to take a trip out to see them and photograph them in the beautiful mountain scenery there. I think this session we recently did may just be my favorite one so far. Their girls are still so little that they can't keep focused on smiling for the camera for super long so we got to play lots of fun games and sing songs and move around a lot to keep it interesting for them. I have to say, I really love what we were able to get while keeping them busy! And even though every year I get insanely busy during fall, it's still my favorite time of year to photograph families together. It's not just because the fall color backdrop of gorgeous yellow Colorado aspen leaves and rusty orange maples leaves although that's definitely a big part of why I love Autumn family portraits so much. It's also because that crisp fall air makes family snuggles more fun! Who wouldn't want to cuddle up with mom and dad when that chilly fall air starts swirling around? As sunset drew near it definitely got cold and we were heading back to our cars to call it a night. But Mount Sopris off in the distance looked so beautiful that I really wanted to see if we could get just one more with the family together in front of that beautiful backdrop. After lots of twirling around we were able to get big grins on the girls faces with the pastel warm sunset light on the mountain backdrop making it the perfect ending to a lovely family portrait session. Who knows, this time went so well that maybe we'll get cocky next year and add in the family dog! Check out a selection of my favorites below.
