Avery House Fort Collins is a wedding venue in a beautiful historic home located in a very convenient part of Northern Colorado. It’s just 3 blocks away from College Avenue and all of the fun energy found in the downtown Fort Collins area. If you’ve ever been to Kansas City, it has a bit of a Kansas City old neighborhood vibe with its Sandstone material. I particularly love the Queen Anne turret that was later added on to this pretty old home. Members of the Franklin Avery family lived in this house until 1962 and the Poudre Landmarks Foundation later purchased it in 1974. The Avery House, the Margareth Merrell Memorial Gazebo, and the Carriage House are all now listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
There are a few rules and other pieces of information that I think are helpful to know about weddings hosted at the Avery House. Cash bars are not permitted at Avery House and you will be limited to serving beer, wine, and champagne. If you plan to host a wedding with more than 75 people total, you will be required to rent a portable outdoor toilet to accommodate the extra guests. This is a service animal only property so couples who hope to have their furry best friends join them at their weddings, this would not be the wedding venue for you. One interesting rule I found was that they do not allow photos to be take at the front of the property, porch, or front steps during their tour hours which are from 1-4 pm on Saturdays and Sundays. This could interfere with your wedding photo plans depending on the timing of your wedding day timeline. There is no outdoor lighting in the yard so you may want to plan for adding your own if your wedding celebration will go past sunset. They have a cutoff of 10 pm for weddings.
The Avery House is an inexpensive Fort Collins wedding venue with a lot of beauty. They have options for renting out various parts of the Avery House grounds. The Avery House itself can be rented out alone only for small indoor wedding ceremonies (standing room only) for up to 30 people and can be rented for 4 hours for $450. Additional hours are $50 each. If you want to rent out the carriage house alone, it will cost you $300 for a 4 hour rental with each additional hour costing $50. The carriage house can fit 30-40 people total. These hours are your entire rental period, including set up and take down so plan accordingly as they charge you $100 per hour if you start decorating outside of your reserved hours.
You also have options for booking the Avery House and the Carriage House with the yard and gazebo in order to host larger events. Renting the Carriage House and Yard will cost $550 for 4 hours and each additional hour costs $75. You can accommodate up to 125 guests total with the Carriage House and Yard. You may also rent out all three options of the Avery House, the Carriage House, and the Yard for $900 for 4 hours total. Each additional hour is $75 and you’ll be able to host up to 125 guests.
