Cheesman Park is a wide open place with a huge grassy lawn. At the top of the hill on the east side sits the park’s crown jewel, the Cheesman Park Pavilion which was built in 1910 and named after Denver water baron Walter Scott Cheesman. The big beautiful neoclassical white pavilion is a favorite photo location for Denver photographers due to its picturesque architecture. It is also surrounded by flower gardens and is well known for its roses in particular. The pavilion can be rented out for wedding ceremonies through the City of Denver website listed above.
Cheesman Park wedding ceremonies must be reserved through the City of Denver either online at the link above, or in person at least 30 days in advance. Online reservations open online at midnight on November 1st. If you are hoping to reserve a Saturday during the warmer months, you’ll definitely want to make sure you are ready since they only reserve one event per day at the Cheesman Park Pavilion. You’ll find a complete guide to how to make a reservation for your wedding at Cheesman Park HERE. The permit fee for hosting your wedding at Cheesman Park Pavilion starts with a $210 non-refundable deposit. Be sure to check with the City of Denver directly for more information about the total cost for a wedding at Cheesman Park, but THIS PAGE has some pricing information.
