Coohills is a chic downtown Denver restaurant serving French cuisine right next to the Cherry Creek bike path. It’s a great place to host your wedding if you’re after a more modern, city wedding with a focus on delicious food. I often do downtown photoshoots along this section of the Cherry Creek path because you can get some great city views mixed with some nice natural areas like the ivy covered walls which look particularly pretty during fall. It’s not the best location if you’re looking for a lot of nature since it’s right on the edge of downtown, but the river flowing through and the street art provide some pretty backdrops for your wedding photos. And of course, Coohills is well known for using the historic pedestrian bridge right outside their front doors for wedding celebrations here in Denver.

As mentioned above, the Wewatta pedestrian bridge is a popular spot to host a wedding ceremony at Coohills restaurant. It’s a super wide, industrial style bridge with a large concrete center with the edges lined in wood planks. It makes for some interesting architectural wedding photos. The restaurant will help you secure the permit needed to reserve this public bridge for your wedding and they can provide guidance in getting all of the rentals you’ll need to host a ceremony in that beautiful outdoor space.

You can also host your ceremony inside the restaurant. Coohills can accommodate quite a large range of guests from smaller more intimate weddings of around 40 people in their smaller dining room, up to 100 guests in the larger room and can seat up to 160 people total. The entire restaurant can hold 400 guests if they aren’t all being seated for dinner.

You’ll have to reach out to Coohills directly to find out their pricing and availability for wedding menus and events. It costs $300 for the permit for hosting your wedding on the Wewatta Bridge plus a $100 mandatory clean up fee. The Coohills website linked to above has more detailed information about noise ordinances and timing, special liquor licenses for serving alcohol in the bridge area and more.
