Della Terra Mountain Chateau Wedding venue is one of the best Estes Park wedding locations. The number one reason I think this is true is because it’s located right outside of Rocky Mountain National Park. It’s literally right across the street from the Fall River Visitor Center. I mention this because it gives some indication for what a pretty wedding venue it is. And it’s not just the scenery, Della Terra itself is stunning. It has this beautiful old-world charm, and calling it a mountain chateau is spot on since it reminds me of some sort of magical mountain fairytale location. No lie, there was a May wedding I photographed and as the couple said their vows, a deer quietly stepped into the backdrop to nibble on some plants which totally took the beautiful nature surrounding them over the top.
One of the highlights of Della Terra is the outdoor wedding ceremony space. There is a lot that I love about Della Terra’s ceremony space. It’s surrounded by a beautiful mountain pine forest and dramatic Estes Park rock cliffs. One really neat feature is that guests sit on a little mini ampitheater with elevated rows of seating so every guest has an awesome view of the nuptials (no more craning your neck around the tall folks to get a glimpse of the bride and groom!) I also love the cool stone gazebo that the wedding party will walk out from to the ceremony site. It’s a nice long walk down the aisle through beautiful scenery, complete with a little curved stone bridge.
As much as I love a summer wedding at Della Terra, Winter weddings at Della Terra can be just as charming. I find the snowy cold weather weddings so pretty with all of the white snow everywhere. During the holiday season, Della Terra decorates the entire inn with Christmas trees and other holiday decor making it feel incredibly cozy. And even though it’s super rare for it to be a completely rained out wedding day, if that happens on your wedding day, an indoor ceremony is still absolutely gorgeous. Speaking of various weather and the look of Della Terra, they have an awesome section on their site where they share pictures of weddings that have taken place from every month of the year on their website so be sure to check that out. One nice thing about Della Terra is that its landscape is mostly made up of pine trees so in my opinion it doesn’t really look wildly different from season to season and has a nice consistent look because of that.
Speaking of the indoor space at Della Terra, it’s simply stunning. The main reception area has incredibly high ceilings and there is an open 2nd level overlooking the first which is often used for cocktail hour. There are enormous windows on 3 sides making it feel less stuffy too. Be sure to ask the wedding planners about various Della Terra Floor Plans that will help you make the most of the space. The Della Terra Mountain Chateau elevation is 8,296 feet which means your bar is going to go much further as well. Prior to the wedding, you’ll have access to the Della Terra bridal salon for your wedding preparations and they have a theater for the groomsmen to hang out in as well.
Don’t be put off by the large size of Della Terra. Smaller, more intimate and even micro weddings can be had at this Estes Park wedding venue. Della Terra Elopement Weddings are a possibility too. This Estes Park resort wedding venue has so many great features in it’s private suites. There are private balconies with hot tubs, see through fireplaces, and soaking tubs. It is truly one of the most luxurious wedding venues in the Rocky Mountains.
