The people of Denver know that one of the best views of Denver with the city skyline and the mountains stacked up behind it can be found at City Park. And while you can get that gorgeous view for free from the grassy area just west of the Denver Museum of Nature and Science, it’s even better from their wedding ceremony deck overlooking City Park. Named “The Anschutz Family Sky Terrace,” it’s an open air wedding site which is great for ceremonies and I think would also be great for a cocktail hour space and perhaps even dinner and dancing on nice days for those with a smaller wedding guest count. This place is by far one of the best Denver museum weddings you can have in the city!
This museum of nature wedding venue can host both intimate weddings and also very large weddings (there is room for up to 4,000 guests if you wanted!) The museum is an incredibly unique wedding venue with all of the interesting exhibits that your guests can wander through and explore on your wedding day. There are numerous neat photo opportunities throughout the museum that you won't find anywhere else. They have a large gem collection and many dioramas which lend themselves well for creating quirky wedding photos. I'm imagining a very Wes Anderson style feel with photos or wedding reception dinners done in the areas with the Dioramas. (Click HERE to check out this fun older engagement session I did at the museum) And the dinosaur bone area is sure to satisfy your inner paleontologist geek. One added bonus of this space is that their pricing is surprisingly reasonable for a wedding venue as unique and central as this is too. Plus, I love the idea that your wedding costs would be directly supporting a scientific and cultural facility. Yay for supporting science! Trust me, you will not be disappointed with your Denver Museum of Nature and Science Wedding.
