Downtown Denver Engagement Photos during Winter

I am so excited to share these gorgeous winter pictures from my latest downtown Denver engagement photos session. I really love living in Denver because we’ll be having a typical snowy cold winter but then the sun will pop out and melt a week’s worth of snow in one afternoon. That’s just the kind of day we were having when I met up with Noe and Chelsea for their engagement photos this week. We started off at the University Club where they are getting married in March. After capturing a lovely B&W engagement photo that we created on the street with the Colorado state capitol in the background we made our way through downtown Denver (totally used the free 16th Street Mall ride!) and ended up on the other side of downtown Denver to finish up this cool urban engagement photography session on the west side of the downtown area.

This is the area where Union Station and Larimer Square are located. I really love to time it so that we hit Larimer Square and all of it’s beautiful string lights when sunset hits. If you get there in time you can get a beautiful blue sky in the photos. We not only lucked out with incredibly warm weather for January, but we were also blessed with an incredible pastel pink and purple sunset too. So the colorful sky paired with those lovely lights on Larimer Square make such a gorgeous and unique and totally Denver backdrop. It’s one of my favorite places to photograph in all of downtown Denver.

The color really was like that at sunset! It was gorgeous!
