If you know you want to host a classic Colorado ski resort wedding here in our mountains you should definitely look into celebrating at Keystone Ski Resort. There are a ton of different options available at Keystone Resort including ceremony and reception venues that include gondola rides as well as distinctive and charming off-mountain locales for those who want to stay near the base of the mountain. In this article below, I’ve done my best to describe the various Keystone Colorado wedding venues that are available at the resort. Take a look, with Keystone Weddings, there is sure to be a venue for every type of couple.
The staff at Keystone Resort is incredible, focusing their efforts on helping you sort through all of the decisions and logistics that need to happen for a wedding day to go smoothly. I can attest that I noticed their incredibly on point hospitality when photographing weddings at Keystone Resort. They can help you set up everything from the rehearsal dinner and lodgings for all of your guests all the way through the ceremony, party, and even the bon voyage breakfast. They make it so easy for both locals planning as well as those who are planning a Colorado destination wedding from afar. I’ve tried to highlight the best known ceremony and reception sites from Keystone Resort but be sure to get in touch with them to discuss how they might help make your Colorado destination wedding dreams come true. They’ll have more detailed information about Keystone wedding costs.
Perhaps you are looking for something similar to Timber Ridge but not quite so large? Have no fear, Alpenglow Stube is a cozy mountain cabin right next door! The food is quite excellent here. It is located 11,444 feet above sea and just happens to be the highest gourmet restaurant in North America! At this elevation, your bar tab will probably go further too. Alpenglow Stube Keystone CO can host up to 90 guests so it would be great for those hosting a more mid-range sized wedding. You also get to take the River Run gondola and the Outpost gondola up the schoolmountain to reach this Keystone Resort venue. Anticipation Run outdoor ceremony views are also at your disposal when booking an Alpenglow Stube wedding. Check out more photos from this pretty winter wedding at Alpenglow Stube!
The incredible heights of being so far above sea level at Alpenglow Stube and Timber Ridge may not be for everyone. Perhaps you will have VIP guests attending your wedding and don’t want to push them too hard with the oxygen levels or maybe you just simply fancy the idea of a more classic golf course style Keystone wedding. If this is the case, then a Keystone Ranch wedding will be perfect for you. Summer wedding ceremonies at Keystone Ranch take place on the lawn overlooking the golf course with views of Ten Mile Ranch off in the distance. If you are hosting a winter wedding you have the option of setting up in front of the enormous stone fireplace creating a truly cozy atmosphere for your nuptials. During the summer, Keystone Ranch can host up to 180 guests and winter weddings can host up to 120. This site at Keystone Resort is a truly beautiful blend of wild west rustic cabin meets elegance. The food served at Keystone Ranch is also award-winning so you know your guests will love the atmosphere at your Colorado mountain wedding.
For those hosting slightly smaller affairs, Ski Tip Lodge at Keystone Resort has got to be one of the cutest finds in Summit County! This venue looks and feels just like an adorable old European style ski chalet. Why bother with the expense of hosting a European destination ski resort wedding when you can host one with a similar fairytale feel right here in Colorado? Ski Tip Lodge weddings can hold up to 120 people during the summer if you add a tent and up to 74 guests inside the lodge if you go without the tent. If you are into history, you’ll be pleased to find out that Ski Tip Lodge started as an 1880’s stagecoach stop and starting in 1947 became the first ski lodge in Colorado! In the summer there is a beautiful wildflower garden setting out on the patio and during winter your guests will appreciate the large stone fireplace. Ski Tip Lodge is an incredible wedding site at Keystone Resort that has some seriously cozy and charming vibes going on.
Lastly, for those who simply want to host a gorgeous wedding ceremony with unique mountain views Keystone Resort does offer the option of hosting just your ceremony on the mountain. You can reserve Schoolmarm Run for your wedding. Schoolmarm Keystone is one of the prettiest Colorado winter wedding venues. During winter, skiers and snowboarders are jetting down the mountain from this spot, but in the summer you and your guests can enjoy the romance of your wedding ceremony with stunning views of the Rocky mountains with Lake Dillon set in front of them. Talk about an impressive wedding ceremony location! Your guests are sure to be impressed with your Schoolmarm Keystone wedding ceremony.
That’s it for the overview of the various Keystone wedding venues that are available to rent. Be sure to check in with the wedding coordinator at Keystone if you have further questions about what they have to offer!
Timber Ridge Mountain Lodge is THE place to go to for those who are hosting a large wedding since this spacious venue can host up to 260 guests. Larger weddings of that size often run into space issues with most on mountain venues so this is a fabulous option for anyone who wants a large wedding that is actually on top of a mountain. Timber Ridge Lodge Keystone features enormous cathedral ceilings and large windows letting in good natural light making this Keystone lodge anything but basic. Keystone Timber Ridge manages to wow guests with its high end, luxurious look while maintaining a rustic charm that Colorado mountain lodges are known for.
Timber Ridge Keystone weddings are located at the top of North Peak and you and your guests will get to take not just one gondola but two up the mountain. For those hosting Colorado destination weddings, I personally think that a gondola ride to get to your ceremony and reception is one of the best and most unique parts of hosting a Colorado ski resort wedding. You and all of your wedding guests will get to soak in all of the pretty views and scenery on a relaxing and nature-filled ride up the mountain. It’s a great way to impress your guests and give them a little taste of the mountain culture. Luckily, Keystone gondola rides are one of the many perks of hosting a wedding at their resort. And a gondola ride is definitely included when you book the Timber Ridge wedding venue.
The views won’t stop with the gondola ride though. The outdoor wedding ceremony on Anticipation Run will surely be remembered forever. The staff at Keystone will set up chairs on the grass facing the distant mountains with stunning views everywhere you turn. I was lucky enough to photograph a winter wedding here and if your guests can brave the chill for a short time it’s absolutely worth it for the epic and serene mountain views.
