Large Family Photography in Grand Lake, Colorado
As the oldest of 7 kids I have a soft spot for photographing large families because when I was younger, I felt like photographers didn’t know what the heck to do with all of us. They would often line us up into what I felt was a fairly boring one row. So now I keep that in mind when I photograph families with a lot of people. I like to figure out a way to be a little bit more dynamic with the posing if possible. Of course, it’s not always easy to do depending on the location and sometimes neat rows are just the best way to get everyone in the photo. Luckily for me, this family thought ahead and brought a couple of wooden stools that we could use and combined with my little ottoman that I brought, we were able to create some pretty cute larger group photos for them at Point Park in Grand Lake.
If you are planning a family get together and want to get some updated photos of everyone while you are all together, feel free to take a look at the FAMILES page of my website and reach out. I’d love to see if I can help you out!
