Mary’s Lake Lodge is located just a short drive south on highway 7 away from all of the hustle and bustle of the tourist shops on the main drag. This venue is the quintessential Colorado mountain wedding venue. It has it all. Guests can stay on site within walking distance from your wedding reception and there are plenty of gorgeous mountain views as well as views of pretty little Mary’s Lake which is just a short walk down the street from the main Lodge. I adore the look of the main lodge which was built in 1913 and retains an abundance of rustic mountain log cabin charm. Tavern 1929 is right there at the lodge with an abundance of delicious American food and plenty of their own micro-brews and ciders on tap which should keep your guests full and happy.  
 
Wedding ceremonies are typically held at the Forever Garden which is a nice big flat grassy area on the hill behind the lodge with incredible mountain and lake views as the backdrop for your ceremony. Imagine you and your guests breathing in that fresh mountain air as you say “I do.”  
 
After the ceremony there are two options for indoor spaces to host your reception. The smaller option for more intimate weddings is the Foundation Room which boasts views of the mountains out it’s plentiful big windows and a beautiful wood floor. This space can host up to 70 guests. If you are interested in a larger space for your reception the Grand Room is hard to beat. This historic room features a gorgeous stone fireplace and plenty of huge windows. There is also a nice big deck out to the side so that guests can come and go getting some fresh air in between dancing. Despite its large space it manages to retain a charming and intimate feel.  
 
It’s hard to beat Mary’s Lake Lodge if you are looking for a historic log cabin feel for a Colorado mountain wedding where everyone can stay on site!  

2021 Update: Sadly, the Great Room where Mary's Lake Lodge was burned in a fire in the summer of 2018.  But, they are in works to rebuild and you can read more about the new plans on this Mary's Lake Lodge Article in the Estes Park Trail Gazette.  The article mentions that their goal is to have the new building done by March 2021, but that was written prior to Covid-19 hitting the scene so check in with them directly to find out where they're at with their construction to see when they plan to start hosting wedding celebrations again!
