Mile High Station is the place to be for a bride and groom who want a venue that has a modern and industrial feel to it. The space is a former steel and ironworks building built in 1897 and employed hundreds of craftsmen in its heyday. The huge brick building is located right in the heart of Denver (right next to the home of the Broncos, Sports Authority Field at Mile High) and has been renovated to preserve most of its original architectural features.
With it’s abundance of exposed red brick walls and steel framework it’s the closest a Coloradoan can get to a contemporary New York City style wedding right here in the Mile High City. One of my favorite features is the gorgeous custom chandeliers. They look like pieces of art with their hanging lantern style light bulbs in a pretty spiral shape. I have had many brides and grooms who want to have a large wedding say that it’s hard to find a space that can accommodate their large guest lists. With room to seat up to 550 guests indoors and another 150 outside on the patio, Mile High Station is a place that will have no problem hosting your large wedding. I think it’s the perfect place for brides and grooms who describe themselves as “City People.”
