Rembrandt Yard is the perfect wedding space for art lovers who want to host their wedding in the center of all the action in Boulder, Colorado. It’s located one block away from the Pearl Street Mall on Spruce Street with the Boulder Theater right around the corner and the Hotel Boulderado directly across the street if you need a place for guests to crash after your wedding reception. This light-filled Boulder art gallery has two floors with plenty of space to host a ceremony and your reception. Rembrandt Yard has been hosting wedding celebrations since 2005 (the same year I started my photography business!) so you know you are in good hands with a venue who has the experience to create a great event. Because they’re located in a business district there are no time restrictions on loud music like you might find with other wedding venues that are tucked away in more residential style neighborhoods.
One thing as a photographer that I particularly love about the space is the numerous large windows throughout the entire building that let in tons of natural light! They also have some cute photo opportunities like the “Love” sign and the cute alley area. I do think it’s nice to go off-site to find some more nature views for your wedding photos, but if you love city pictures, there is a lot we can find right there near the gallery. You can also host a very large event at Rembrandt Yard if you need to. The space is large enough to hold up to 500 people if you rent out the entire gallery. Each floor can hold 300 guests (for a cocktail style reception), and 220 guests for a seated dinner. Like me, they have a “high season” and a “low season” so if you are flexible with your date you may find you can save a little bit of money on your rental as well. If you are looking for a nice modern venue with lots of good light as well as extremely well located I would definitely go check out Rembrandt Yard.
The following are some of the highlights you’ll enjoy when booking your wedding at Rembrandt Yard. They offer the ability to bring in your own alcohol as well as no specific cut off time for the end of your reception. The majority of venues in Colorado have cut off times of 10 pm or even earlier so this is a pretty great feature if you always envisioned more of a late party-style reception for your wedding day. They offer discounts on the sale of the artwork that is displayed inside just for you and your guests so if something catches their eye while celebrating they might be able to take it home with them. They also offer special packages on lighting and lounge furniture if you want to take your wedding reception decor up a notch but the space is beautiful with or without those additions and you can’t go wrong either way!
Rembrandt Yard has their wedding and event pricing based on a few different factors. The first is whether you need the space for a full day or a half day and if you go with a half day package, you’ll decide whether to do your half day in the morning (which must be done by 3 pm) or in the evening (day begins at 4 pm). They also have options to add on extra hours for $300 each. Rembrandt Yard also varies their wedding pricing based on the time of year and day of the week that you’d like to get married. So if you can do a mid-week wedding during winter you’ll pay less than a Saturday wedding during the summer. Here’s a rough idea of the pricing for Rembrandt Yard, but be sure to double check with them to get a more accurate quote for your wedding day.
High Season Pricing
The high season at Rembrandt Yard is from May-December. For Monday through Thursday weddings that take place during high season, you’ll pay anywhere from $2,300-3,500 depending on if you need the entire gallery or a single floor as well as whether you are booking a full day or a half day. If you need a Friday or Sunday wedding during high season, you’ll pay $3,400-$4,600 to book Rembrandt Yard which also depends on the same factors as mentioned above. For Saturday weddings during high season, you’ll pay $4,400-$5,600 to rent Rembrandt Yard’s space for your wedding day.
Low Season Pricing
The low season pricing at Rembrandt Yard is January-April and you will also pay various price points based on how much of the gallery you want to reserve and for how long. For a Monday-Thursday wedding during the low season, you’ll spend anywhere from $2,100-$3,300. For a Friday or Sunday wedding, a Rembrandt wedding will cost you $3,000-$4,200 and for a Saturday wedding during the low season you can expect to spend $4,000-$5,200 to book Rembrandt Yard Art Gallery. Holidays may have different pricing as well. Rembrandt Yard now offers smaller elopement style wedding packages for 40 guests or less too.
Wedding Decor Packages at Rembrandt Yard
Rembrandt Yard has you covered for the furniture and decor you may need on your wedding day with a tables and chairs package for $550 and a lounge seating package for $500. They also have a fun lighting package where they hang pretty edison bulb lights on the 2nd floor to give it more ambiance after the natural light is gone for $750. If you combine the lounge seating package with the lighting package they do a flat rate of $1,000 for both.
I hope this overview has been helpful for your wedding planning and that you’ve been inspired to go do a walk through with the folks at Rembrandt Yard. I’d love to be your Rembrandt Yard wedding photographer and have experience photographing at this beautiful downtown Boulder wedding venue.
