Senior Portraits at South Mesa Trail During Fall
Earlier this summer I got to photograph this lovely young lady’s dad’s wedding at Red Rocks. Now it’s her turn to be the focus in front of my camera because she’s a senior this year and needed some senior photo choices for her yearbook photo. I sent them my article that has a list of some of my favorite spots and she really liked the South Mesa Trail location. I used to photograph at this location all of the time, but haven’t been going there a whole lot these past few years. But, photographing her there especially as the fall color was starting to come in, reignited my love for this location. Also, we saw some bear poo on the trail and I outed myself as a total freak by taking a photo of it with my phone to later show my husband how crazy it looks with all of the seeds in it, haha. It was a bit of a stormy evening with a bit of light rain which resulted in a cool rainbow that we were able to catch toward the beginning of the session. It was a little frustrating with the wind attempting to mess up her hair, but overall totally worth it for those dramatic blue skies in her pictures. Below are just a small handful of some of my favorites from that evening.
Are you looking for a high school senior portrait photographer? I have a bunch of examples of my senior work HERE. Be sure to check it out and get in touch! I’d love to help.
