Ten Mile Station is one of the best places to get married in Breckenridge. The views there at the base of Peak 10 are simply incredible and your guests will love all of that fresh mountain air while taking in the scenery. This beautiful Breckenridge wedding venue sits at just over 10,000 feet in elevation and can accommodate up to 200 wedding guests. If you’re worried about the high elevation at Ten Mile Station, don’t worry, Breckenridge has some other wedding venue options to choose from that you can read about HERE.
I love that the Ten Mile Station building itself acknowledges Breckenridge’s Gold Rush history by looking like a well maintained mining facility but with a modern touch like huge windows letting in some nice natural light (something us photographers are always looking out for!). Those windows also serve another even more exciting purpose for couples which is allowing for mountain views during the reception dinner. The interior of Ten Mile Station is a bit of a unique blend of a modern industrial space with exposed building systems, corrugated metal, and warm cozy wood materials. It also has some cool, historic items unique to Breckenridge’s reputation as a western mining town turned world class ski area like old-fashioned snow shoes, ice skates, vintage skis, alongside pick axes and other mining tools decorating it’s walls.
We haven’t even really touched on the incredible landscape outside the doors of Ten Mile Station. Obviously the most spectacular feature are the stunning mountain views with their rugged and wild beauty. But, what I think is pretty unique about Ten Mile Station is that this Breckenridge wedding venue doesn’t solely depend on the surrounding gorgeous wilderness. Ten Mile Station is also surrounded by manicured flower gardens which add a little more refinement to a place already swimming in beauty. Plus Ten Mile Station is only available for weddings from June through early October which coincides nicely with the high altitude gardening season here in Colorado. (Hot tip, bring plenty of sunscreen. In my experience at this venue, the beautiful Colorado sunshine is usually beating down hard (although Colorado mountain towns often experience short afternoon rain storms that pass by quickly too). Being that high up in elevation not only affects your breathing, but also the UV rays are stronger up there and it’s easier to get a sunburn).
You’ll be able to host a wedding at Ten Mile Station in Breck from 4 pm-11 pm (with 1 pm - 4 pm set aside for set up). Ten Mile Station prices for the site fee range from $4,000-$5,000 depending on which day of the week you choose to host your wedding. And, you’ll need to set aside anywhere from $7,000-$19,000 for the food and beverage minimum too which is also based on the date of your wedding. If you can host a mid-week wedding or a wedding during the first two weekends of June you’ll save a little bit of money.
