Oh man, I am such a fan of small weddings that opt for the reception to take place at a restaurant. I’ve seen it at quite a few weddings throughout the years and it can be such a nice simple laid-back affair. The Hornet is located right in the heart of Baker in the South Broadway shopping district which is now full of restaurants, shops, and bars but The Hornet has been a mainstay throughout the years. Since 1995 they’ve been serving up food that is rich and delicious and their back area is perfect for an intimate and casual wedding reception. They have a big room indoors with plenty of tables and seating that leads out to a medium sized back patio area with awesome brick walls, string lights, and a nice red painted wall. It would really be a great option for a rehearsal dinner or a small wedding reception in one of my favorite neighborhoods in all of Denver.
