There is one word that sums up the reason why brides go to the Lodge & Spa at Breck to get married and that is; VIEW! Seriously, walk out onto the deck at this rustic mountain boutique hotel just a mere 15 minutes away from the base of Breckenridge ski resort and the expansive view will take your breath away. Part of it might be that the lodge is located on a hill above Breckenridge at an altitude of 10,200 feet but really it's mostly the scenery that will leave you in awe. Apparently this is one of the highest elevation hotels in the world! So if you want to feel on top of the world and say your vows in a location that matches that feeling, The Lodge at Breckenridge is a pretty great wedding venue for that.

The Lodge in Breckenridge has the Skyview Deck which is the perfect place for a wedding ceremony. Witnessing a couple in love say their vows at the top of the world is a wonderful experience for any guest. The deck is large with 1260 square feet of space which allows for up to 160 guests and makes for a great cocktail hour area in the warmer months. Just imagine sipping a delicious signature drink while taking in the sight of Boreas Pass, Breckenridge Ski Resort, and the Ten Mile Mountain Range. Gorgeous mountain views might not be the only cool thing you see while at the Lodge & Spa at Breckenridge. When I photographed a bride and groom at sunset, the cutest little fox decided to come out of the wilderness to pose in the backdrop of their wedding photos. Enjoying the curious wildlife is definitely a big perk to staying at a mountain hotel like the Lodge at Breckenridge.

When you head indoors you'll notice that the space feels like a nice cozy cabin despite how large it is. Directly inside the doors of the Skyview Deck is the Foyer Room which features a huge stone fireplace to keep your guests comfy and warm as they mingle and snack on hors d'oeuvres. Just off of the Foyer Room is the Traverse Restaurant which is a great place for guests to eat dinner. The restaurant is surrounded with huge windows which allow for continued viewing of the scenic mountainside. If you prefer, you can skip hosting your wedding reception dinner in the Traverse Restaurant and seat your guests in the Mountain View Conference Room. This simple, beautiful modern wedding reception room has 2,088 square feet and you’ll be able to host up to 140 people at a banquet style dinner. Later you can dance the night away on the wood dance floor in the mountain view conference room. This is a great space due to all of the nice natural light flooding in from its large windows which face the deck. 

When planning a Colorado destination wedding, it can be tricky to find just the right place to host all of your guests who are traveling in from out of town. The Lodge at Breckenridge has 45 updated and spacious rooms and suites available. One other nice thing about having your wedding at the Lodge & Spa at Breckenridge is that there are large houses available so that groups can stay together in a more intimate arrangement. They also make for a nice spacious area where you can get ready on your wedding day. Your out of town guests can all book rooms inside the large lodge and keeping everyone all in one place during your wedding weekend will be easy and convenient for you.
