If you’re looking for an elegant downtown Colorado Springs wedding venue with a lot of history and style, The Mining Exchange Hotel fits the bill. This beautiful structure has a unique history as it was originally built as a stock exchange for local mining companies. You’ll notice they even still have the old vaults on site as they’ve done an excellent job preserving the Mining Exchange’s historic charm. This was the first building in Colorado Springs to be built over 4 stories tall. The Mining Exchange has seven different venue spaces to choose from with over 15,000 square feet of space combined. The largest ballroom can host up to 180 guests. They have 117 luxurious guest rooms that have retained a sense of history with their large windows (some of them arched, and some of them have lovely mountain views) and exposed brick walls. Your wedding guests can take advantage of it’s convenient downtown location and there’s even a spa on site. The common spaces have a nice mix of old architecture with updated modern touches throughout the hotel.
The largest ballroom wedding space at The Mining Exchange Hotel is 3,500 square feet. There is a Banquet room with floor to ceiling windows. The Bronze meeting room has an industrial design style with exposed brick and the building systems showing. The Silver Room has beautiful wood floors, tall ceilings with a pretty stamped tin covering it, lush velvet curtains, and elegant chandeliers. There is also a large ballroom with touches of gold inside as well as an open air balcony level overlooking the ballroom. There is also a second floor ballroom with exposed brick and lovely wood floors with an outdoor patio connected to it. If you walk down the stairs of this outdoor patio you’ll find one of my favorite areas at the Mining Exchange which is their fun New Orleans style outdoor courtyard with exposed brick on one side and lots of nice streetlights and seating throughout. It’d make a great cocktail hour space with the string lights hanging overhead.
The Mining Exchange Hotel has their prices for wedding catering conveniently listed on their website. The buffet options range from $46-$85 per guest and they also have plated entree options ranging from $39-$79. They also have a brunch reception option which is $48 per guest. They have a lot of other great add ons available as well as various bar menu options so be sure to check out the full catering price page HERE.
