Wash Park is the favorite park of Denverites. Anyone can see that if they drive by on a warm summer day. It may not be the biggest park in Denver, but it’s certainly one of the prettiest and there’s not much that beats a beautiful picnic day at Wash Park. Hell, I don’t even mind running when I do it at Wash Park and running is definitely not my favorite activity! In addition to being a fun park to hang out at, washington park makes a great wedding venue.
This Washington Park wedding venue is the perfect place to get married if you are the kind of person who loves to take a warm evening stroll hand in hand with your honey and your best friend on their leash. If you are the typical outdoor activity junkie who loves your neighborhood and community there are not many locations that can beat a Washington Park Denver wedding. Mount Vernon Garden at Wash Park is a replica of George Washington’s garden at Mount Vernon (hence the name). This outdoor Denver garden wedding venue is located on the north end of the south lake hidden away from most of the hustle and bustle of the park. There are tall flowering plants which provide a surprising amount of privacy for your ceremony. There is room for up to 100 guests at this garden and if you need just a little more room there are the big gardens located on the west side of the park by Downing street. (Be prepared for a little more noise in that garden due to its proximity to Downing) With a fee of just $260 (plus a $25 application fee) you can feel good about splurging elsewhere in your wedding budget.
I’d love to be your Wash Park wedding photographer! Check out the WEDDINGS page of my site and get in touch to tell me about your wedding plans.
