Wild Basin Lodge & Event Center is a stunning wedding venue located just outside of Rocky Mountain National Park in Allenspark, Colorado. It’s literally walking distance to Copeland Lake which is one of RMNP’s wedding sites. But, right next door to that lake is this beautiful log cabin style all-inclusive wedding venue where you can host many more guests than you can at RMNP. This beautiful, rustic wedding venue is located 8,083 feet in elevation and boasts views of Mount Meeker and Longs Peak (one of the Front Range’s most iconic and imposing mountain views!)

Wild Basin Lodge is an awesome mountain wedding venue because you have so many great options for hosting your wedding here. You can choose between a beautiful river ceremony surrounded by nature or opt for a mountain view wedding ceremony in the meadow they have on their property. They also have an enormous event venue with a ton of space for hosting a dinner reception, dancing, and they also have guestrooms and dressing rooms as well.
Wild Basin Lodge & Event Center has a super unique ceremony site right next to the Saint Vrain River. Up at the venue the Saint Vrain is a large, majestic mountain stream and just hearing that water rush by brings a feeling of peacefulness. I say it’s unique because your guests will be seated in a stadium style type of seating where everyone will be able to see what’s happening clearly. There’s a feeling of grandness as you ascend the stairs and make your way to the bottom next to the river where you’ll say your vows surrounded by pretty trees and nature. The River Run area of Wild Basin Lodge is available during summer and fall for warmer weather outdoor wedding ceremonies.
I will always love a beautiful mountain view backdrop for outdoor wedding ceremonies in Colorado and luckily the Wild Basin Lodge has a huge, lovely meadow with incredible mountain views off in the distance. This meadow also has beautiful aspen tree groves which look amazing during fall color season. After a ceremony out in the meadow we can go explore and create some stunning images with all of the gorgeous scenery at our fingertips!
Of course, I have to talk more about the 15,000 square foot Wild Basin Lodge which has two different levels for hosting a wedding reception indoors. As mentioned in the name, it’s also a place where you and your new spouse can spend the night after your fabulous wedding day and enjoy the serenity that this part of the Rocky Mountains has to offer. The downstairs area has some pretty stained glass windows throughout and the upstairs has a unique layout with a wood dance floor and then surrounding areas with room for dinner tables and lots of natural light coming in from all of the windows. There are also some great outdoor patios and balconies that guests can step outside and catch some fresh air in between their favorite dance floor tunes.
