Stapleton Family Photographer in Denver
As a Denver Stapleton family photographer, I’m very pleased to share these cute extended family photos created at Bluff Lake Park. Around 4 years ago I had the pleasure of photographing this family up near Boulder at one of the trails with views of the rugged mountains in the backdrop. I was so happy they got back in touch to talk about getting some updated family pictures since some of the family had moved out to Michigan and they were planning to come back to Denver for a visit. Of course I said yes to that!
Last time I photographed them, they had a newborn baby girl and this time they are bring another new baby (but not a newborn this time). Our summer start times are so late that they were concerned she would be too cranky if we started the session as late as I usually like to. So we compromised by picking a shady location with lots of trees that we could use to help block out the sun a little bit since we would be photographing in the afternoon which is typically bright and sunny here in Colorado.
Stapleton Family Photos at Bluff Lake Park
One of the families lives near Stapleton so we decided to try Bluff Lake Park which is a really huge open space with lots of shady trees. I’ve never photographed there before and wasn’t sure what to expect, but it ended up being the perfect location for us. There was a really fun, big tree log tipi (teepee?) style structure that the kids went crazy for. Apparently it’s the talk of Stapleton as a fun kids’ hangout space. I really love that the family got to use their family portraits as an excuse to hang out with each other in nature while playing games, answering silly questions, and just spending quality time as a family. It’s one of the best things about being an on-location photographer here in the Stapleton area!
