Fall Color Gay Engagement Photos on Squaw Pass Road
I’ve got some gorgeous and romantic fall color gay engagement photos to share today. I’ve been super excited to share this gem of a session because Matt and James were so much fun to hang out with and are so relaxed in each other’s arms and company that it really made for some nice authentic moments during their engagement photo session. Of course, my favorites are when they are cracking up together because I always just love big ol’ smiles on faces. But I also love the more serious looking romantic pictures we got for them as well. I especially loved the photos where I had them facing each other in front of that fun wood tipi structure and had them tell me about their proposal in Estes Park. Seriously, these are the moments and the stories that make me love my work and what I get to do for a living the most.

I also love that I get to go out into nature with awesome people and laugh together and just take a little bit of time out of our busy schedules where we’re not playing around on our phones and we’re paying attention to each other. Obviously, the end goal of any photography session is to get great pictures to use after it’s over. But, I really love that it’s not just about looking good in front of a camera. It’s also about that quality time just being next to the most important people in our lives and hopefully creating good memories. I think what I love about engagement sessions in particular is that they’re usually done toward the beginning of an engagement (not always but usually) and so it’s still during that period where a couple often hasn’t had to do any of the harder planning work yet and they get to just focus on each other and their relationship. It’s a chance to bask all of those wonderful “We just got engaged” feelings. I remember when my husband and I got engaged I distinctly remember feeling “Things just got real!” after we did our engagement photos which was a cool feeling for me too.
Matt & James,
You two are far more organized than most at this stage of the wedding planning but I hope you both got the “Things just got real” feeling too after our session together. And I hope you two had at least half the fun that I did:) Congratulations on this incredible journey of marriage!
