Winter Family Portraits in a Mountain Meadow with Aspen Trees

I’ve had the pleasure of heading up to my favorite nearby mountain meadow 4 times already this month to photograph different families in this pretty winter meadow setting. Everyone loves this location because the aspen trees there are so beautiful. During winter when there is snow on the ground it has an extra special magical feeling for me. It is at a fairly high elevation though so winter sessions don’t last very long before it’s just a little too miserable to be outside. When I met up with this extended family we started off pretty strong which is normal, but definitely ended up needing to keep their hats and winter coats on by the end. Below is just a small handful of some of my personal favorites from their session.
