elcome to the journal for April O’Hare Photography! Here you’ll find all of my latest photographic outings with the couples, families, seniors and small businesses that I get to work with and make beautiful photographs for. You may also see a personal post here and there discussing my life or my travels with my teeny family of one husband and three cats! Sometimes I even write advice articles with tips to help make your photo experience better which you can check out under the “Educational” category.

Take your time and look around! Type in the place where you’ll be getting married in the search box to see if I’ve photographed there before. At the bottom of the page I’ve highlighted some of my favorite sessions and weddings from the past. Grab a drink and have fun going down the photo rabbit hole!

Autumn Engagement Photos in Estes Park, Colorado

October 13, 2012

Kayci & Jonathan are getting married up in Ft. Collins next May so we needed to meet up to get their engagement photos done while the gorgeous Fall colors were still looking good.  We decided to meet up about half way in Estes Park.  I grew up in Longmont and we made our way up to Estes Park all the time when I was a kid, but I don’t believe that I’ve been there since I was a teenager.  One of the things I distinctly remember as a kid was how you’d make your way over the final hill and then suddenly the glorious view of the Estes Park valley would be full on in front of you.  As I was driving up to meet Kayci and Jonathan I was wondering if it would still feel the same coming back as an adult and I gotta say that it was still every bit as exhilarating as it was when I was little:)

This session was super fun. They brought their adorable little dachshund Bodie and we even spotted Mr. Sean Combs chillin’ on the streets of E. Park.

We also saw a herd of elk crossing the street!

Estes Park Elk Herd crossing the road See?! They actually crossed in front of an elk statue too but I couldn’t get the shot in time with cars in front of me too.

Kayci & Jonathan,
Thank you so much for the fun session:) Hope you love the photos. I’ll be in touch soon with the rest of them!
