I haven’t had the chance to photograph at Chautauqua in what feels like forever so I was excited that today’s featured family was interested in meeting me up there. You can’t really go wrong with a dramatic Flatirons backdrop complete with pretty dark pink wildflowers in a field of tall grass. Except for when it rains. We did our best to shoot through the sprinkles but when the sky just opened up and poured on us we sat in the car together and watched some college kids practice their tightrope walking while we crossed our fingers that the rain would go away quickly in typical Colorado fashion. It didn’t go away as quickly as we wanted, but luckily we were still able to use the last bit of light to grab some completely adorable photos of their family.
They just sat down and were instantly this cute!
