Boulder Maternity Photographer at Lost Gulch Overlook
As a Boulder maternity photographer, I am so excited to share this absolutely gorgeous couple’s maternity session at Lost Gulch on the journal today. Chris and Corissa live in Florida but were here visiting with Chris’s family in Colorado where he grew up. They are expecting a baby girl and are planning to name her Winter (Shout out to all the “time of year” names out there like mine!) so I am stoked that we finally got some snow on the ground for their pictures. It’s been way too dry here on the Front Range of Colorado for this time of year but we just got a little bit of snow just in time for their maternity session.
It has all but disappeared down in Denver where I live, but luckily Lost Gulch is up into the mountains of Boulder on Flagstaff Road so it was still cold and high enough for it to stick around for awhile. It definitely made for a beautiful winter wonderland feel in the pictures but we had to work pretty quickly since it was freezing outside. I wanted to take them down a path that I normally use up at Lost Gulch but discovered that it was just too slippery and snowy to safely get up where the views were. We turned around and used the more popular area at Lost Gulch Overlook as the sun set and the sky changed into a lovely soft pastel colors.
Boulder Pregnancy Pictures with Dark Burgandy Purple Form Fitting Mermaid Gown
Corissa and Chris looked amazing in their dark purple burgundy color coordinated clothing for the session. I absolutely loved Corissa’s long form fitting mermaid dress which showed off her beautiful mama-to-be curves with just enough extra flowy fabric on the end to add some drama. And her gorgeous gold jewelry and bright winning smile was the cherry on top! It was really hard for me to narrow down some favorites from this one, but I managed select the ones shown below. Congratulations to Corissa and Chris expecting their first baby girl!
I can’t even pick a favorite from this session, but I’m ending with this one because I love Corissa’s beautiful smile and this sweet tender moment between her and Chris!
