I headed up to good ol’ Summit County last week to meet this awesome family who was visiting all the way from Texas for a family vacation together in Breckenridge, Colorado. We made plans to photograph them starting at the Lomax Placer Mine which is just a tiny drive up the hill on Ski Hill Road and has really cute old log cabins and random mining equipment laying around. We photographed there first for a little bit and then were planning to head over to the Edwin Carter Museum to get a little bit of a mountain view for them. However, I had a little bit more time to explore on this day before we met and I discovered that if you drive up to the Country Boy Mine trailhead there are pretty epic views of the mountains there plus a cool looking old mine. So we finished off our session there instead. I had so much fun laughing and hanging out with this crew. I hope they had a blast hanging out with each other in the mountain scenery of Breckenridge!
