Breckenridge is one of the best and most picturesque mountain towns in all of Colorado. Once upon a time it was home to miners looking to hit it big in the gold rush and the Victorian architecture and abandoned mines dotting the landscape provide a lot of historic charm to this popular ski area. Couples looking for a place with elegance combined with a laid back outdoorsy feel will love getting married at Breckenridge Ski Resort.
The prices for getting married at Breck Ski Resort vary based on which of their wedding venues you choose as well as the date of your wedding. At most of the Breckenridge resort’s wedding venues you’ll save money if you can swing a mid-week wedding celebration. And if that’s not what you had in mind, consider mud season since the most popular time to visit Breckenridge is during summer and during the winter ski season. Luckily, the mountain views are there year-round! I’ll outline some of the rough costs for each of the Breck resort wedding venues below.
There are multiple different styles of wedding locations available at Breckenridge Resort from modern rustic wood lodges and ballrooms to more simple conference style rooms at one of the hotels. Below I’ve done my best to give a brief description of all of the available options for getting married at Breck Resort in Colorado.
Ten Mile Station is my personal favorite wedding venue at Breckenridge Ski Resort. It’s one of the highest wedding venue locations in Breckenridge (although Sevens is also pretty high up too). Be sure to check out this article all about getting married at Ten Mile Station I wrote to find more photos and information about this beautiful Breck wedding venue.
Sevens is a close second for me for wedding venues at Breckenridge Ski Resort. It’s over at the base of Peak 7 and is located inside the Grand Lodge over on the northern side of the Breck ski area. I love the updated mountain chalet feel of this place with tall ceilings and lots of exposed beams overhead. There are beautiful mountain views both from the inside through all of the large windows as well as on their huge outdoor deck connected to the restaurant which makes it a great indoor/outdoor wedding venue in Breckenridge. Sevens is available to rent for weddings outside of ski season in Breck from late April until early November. You’ll be able to host up to 150 guests there.
Sevens Wedding Prices
The cost to book a Sevens Wedding in Breckenridge is $3,000 for the site fee. You’ll also spend between $6,000-$10,000 on your food and beverage minimum.
If you’re looking to host a wedding in Breckenridge, but want to help out guests who may be flying in from more seaside elevations, you might consider The Maggie since it’s not located high up on the mountainside in Breck. But don’t worry, there are still incredible mountain views to be found at The Maggie. One thing I love about The Maggie is that there is a cute pond right there next to the venue called (what else?) Maggie Pond. There’s not a lot of lakes or bodies of water to be found in Breck Proper so this is a nice little added bonus. The Maggie has a bit more of a casual and relaxed vibe as a wedding venue and it’s all about that large outdoor patio. You'll be able to fit up to 200 guests and as with many other Breckenridge Ski Resort Wedding venues, it’s available outside of ski season from mid-April through October.
The Maggie Wedding Pricing
The Maggie wedding venue costs a little bit less than some of the other options at Breck Ski Resort at $1,500-$2,500 for the site fee. You’ll also spend between $2,500 to $12,000 on the food and beverage minimums depending on which day of the week you are hosting your celebration.
One Ski Hill Place is where to look if you want a mix of casual outdoor mountain vibes with a more traditional ballroom wedding. This beautiful wedding venue at Breckenridge Ski Resort is located at the base of Peak 8 and you and your guests can all stay right there on-site. Since this is one of the wedding venue options at Breckenridge ski area that can be rented year round, you can take advantage of the ski in and ski out amenities at One Ski Hill place during your winter wedding there. Overall this is just an incredibly luxurious place to get married and perfect for those who are interested in hosting a destination wedding in Breck while keeping guests on-site in a lovely resort setting. When booking a wedding reception at One Ski Hill Place, you’ll get access to two on-site wedding ceremony locations. The Washington Avenue room can seat up to 60 guests for a ceremony and up to 32 with a dinner and dance floor. Right outside of this room is the Washington Avenue deck which can accommodate up to 30 guests. The larger option is the One Ski Hill Ballroom which can fit a max of 150 with no dance floor, but up to 90 with a sit down dinner and dance floor.
One Ski Hill Place Wedding Prices
The cost to get married at One Ski Hill in Breckenridge is a $1,500 site fee for the One Ski Hill Ballroom and $500 for the Washington Ave Room. The catering costs at One Ski Hill are between $20 per person for a breakfast reception to $100 per person for a dinner reception.
Breckenridge Ski Resort has expanded their offerings for wedding venues with the Doubletree by Hilton having been added to their collection. The Doubletree by Hilton is actually located within walking distance to The Maggie over near the base of Peak 9 and is also within walking distance to all of the fun shops along Main Street too. This is another good option at Breckenridge Ski Resort for those who would like to have a place to gather with their friends and relatives that isn’t quite as high up in elevation. However, the Doubletree by Hilton in Breckenridge does not offer on site ceremony space so you’ll have to find another wedding venue in Breckenridge for that. But, if it’s a beautiful reception space with floor to ceiling windows that you’re after, the Doubletree by Hilton Breckenridge would work quite well for you. This hotel can host wedding receptions year round and offer a max of 6 hours of reception time. You’ll be able to host up to 200 guests at your Doubletree by Hilton wedding reception in Breck.
Doubletree by Hilton Wedding Pricing in Breck
The site fee for Doubletree by Hilton in Breckenridge is $1,500 but they do mention that they may have price breaks for those hosting an event with 50 people or less. As with many of the other wedding venues in Breckenridge, they have price breaks for couples planning their wedding outside of high season. For food and beverage minimums, you’ll spend between $1,000-$4,000 during the off season which is in the spring from April through mid-June and during fall from Labor Day-mi-December. During the more popular summer and winter ski season, you’ll spend between $2,500-$7,000 on your food and beverage minimums.
The Mountain Thunder Lodge is another great option for a place to get married at Breckenridge Ski Resort. This Lodge is in a super convenient location, quite close to Main Street and all of the fun restaurants and shops to be found there. Also, the great room as you step inside Mountain Thunder Lodge is stunning with incredibly unique and rustic decor (like an enormous antler chandelier which is a sculptural beauty!). They also have a nice simple little indoor reception space that you’ll be able to use but what I like the most at this location is the pretty woodsy space on their outdoor patio area where you can set up your wedding ceremony. You can host up to 140 guests year round at this lovely lodge wedding venue in Breck.
Mountain Thunder Lodge Wedding Prices
You’ll spend $1,500 on the site fee for your wedding at Mountain Thunder Lodge. The site fee doesn’t include the food and beverage minimum which ranges from $20 per person for a breakfast reception to $100 per person (or $5,000 whichever is greater) for a dinner reception.
The T-Bar is another really cool lodge style indoor wedding venue in Breckenridge. It’s perfect for hosting your reception after you’ve wed somewhere in Breckenridge’s plethora of lovely outdoor spaces. This wedding venue at Breck Ski Resort is unique because it was built in an Octogonal shape. Be sure to check out my T-Bar Wedding Venue write up to find more photos and information about booking this wedding location at Breckenridge Resort.
