elcome to the journal for April O’Hare Photography! Here you’ll find all of my latest photographic outings with the couples, families, seniors and small businesses that I get to work with and make beautiful photographs for. You may also see a personal post here and there discussing my life or my travels with my teeny family of one husband and three cats! Sometimes I even write advice articles with tips to help make your photo experience better which you can check out under the “Educational” category.

Take your time and look around! Type in the place where you’ll be getting married in the search box to see if I’ve photographed there before. At the bottom of the page I’ve highlighted some of my favorite sessions and weddings from the past. Grab a drink and have fun going down the photo rabbit hole!

Cherry Creek Senior Photography at Four Mile Historic Park

October 20, 2010

I have such a pretty Cherry Creek Senior Photography session to share on the journal today.  This has been pretty much the best Autumn ever.  I just looked up “Indian Summer” on google to see if our awesome weather is officially that & discovered that a true “Indian Summer” is after the first frost but before the snow comes.  I have no idea if we’ve had frost yet but I think having multiple 80 degree plus days counts.  It has been so nice that when I met up with Haley and her mom for her senior pictures yesterday we were able to do a couple with her standing in the Cherry Creek.  IN THE MIDDLE OF OCTOBER!  Sorry for the ridiculous excitement over this but Fall is my favorite time of year and I always get really excited when the seasons start changing.  I get the worst spring fever every year too.   Oh and it doesn’t hurt that Starbucks brings back the Pumpkin Spice Latte;) (Yup, I can be pretty basic sometimes)

Anyway, Haley takes her cutie pie dog Missy on walks over by the Four Mile Historic Park and wanted to do her Senior session there.  I LOVE this location and am totally going to use it in the future:)  Yellow, orange, gold, and red all mixed in with still bright green trees and you have the beginnings of some extremely beautiful photographs.  It’s truly the perfect location for Cherry Creek senior photography here in Denver.  Oh and pairing all of that with a gorgeous young lady who is a total natural in front of the camera definitely just completes the picture.  I even busted out my brand spankin’ new 85 mm 1.2 that day.  So far I am really loving that thing:)

Haley and Kath,

It was so great to finally get a chance to meet up with you ladies yesterday.  Thank you so much for waiting a day while I got over that crazy 24 hour flu bug.  Turns out it wasn’t a bad idea since Monday would have probably been a bit chilly for actually standing in the creek.  I hope you love the sneak peek and I will be in touch very soon with the rest of them.

Talk to you soon!

April
