Family Christmas Photography in an Aspen Tree Grove in Colorado
Today it is -6 degrees outside while I try to wrap up the remaining work I have to do before the end of the year. Looking at these photos I remember just how chilly and cold it was for this poor family for their Christmas family session. But, as today shows, it could always be worse! Haha, of course I would never go through with a session in these kinds of temperatures, but sometimes, when the forecast is saying mid 30s for days on end you just go for it and see what you can get. I was a little nervous because their daughter is only 5, but she was seriously the best little trooper ever. I am shocked by how many great photos we were able to get for them before we decided we needed to call it a night. I love that they brought their own Christmas wreath so that we could hang it on the aspen trees in this pretty mountain meadow on Squaw Pass Road. I also loved the bright blues and reds of their clothing. It really made for a pretty Christmas photo scene for their photos. Below are some of my favorites from their session. Merry Christmas to all who celebrate!
