Colorado Castle Wedding During Summer

Cherokee Ranch and Castle Wedding in Colorado

I have a really fun wedding to share on the journal today. This is a special one because I actually had the pleasure of photographing Sophia’s big sister, Kristen’s wedding back in 2010. Sophia was one of Kristen’s bridesmaids back then while she was still so young and now I get to share her beautiful wedding day now that she’s all grown up and met the man of her dreams. Sophia was by Kristen’s side when she got married and now Kristen got to be by her little sister’s side on her wedding day. I truly cannot believe how fast time goes by. The family has expanded so much with all of the sisters in their family getting married and having children of their own. It was really great to get to see all of them and how much their families have grown.

Sophia and Bennett picked a truly one of a kind place to get married here in Colorado. The Cherokee Ranch and Castle is one of the few castle style wedding venues available here in this state and it has stunning views of the mountains that go on for miles. They were married in the huge courtyard of the castle with a cool turret on one side, the castle on the other, and beautiful mountain views off in the distance. There was definitely a fairytale vibe going on throughout the day. I particularly loved that we managed to find the time at sunset to take them over to the mountain view area and got the gorgeous sunset wedding photos. I’m in love with how gorgeous their photos turned out! Check out some of my favorites below!
