Mesa Overlook Family Photos at Garden of the Gods

Garden of the Gods Colorado Springs Family Photos

At the end of July I met this cute family while they were on their vacation in Colorado Springs. It was a busy day at Garden of the Gods, but we managed to find some great pull offs to create these gorgeous family portraits for them. I love how much their beautiful blue floral dresses pop against the orange and red tones of the dramatic red rocks rising out of the earth. I’ve photographed at Garden of the Gods many times, but this session was my first time getting to use the Mesa Overlook. I normally use another part of the park to catch the layered mountain views, but Garden of the Gods is having some construction done with a new roundabout being created in the road. So that spot wasn’t available to us this time. But, I like the Mesa Overlook even more and will definitely be heading back there again in the future! Below I shared just a small selection of some of my favorites.
