elcome to the journal for April O’Hare Photography! Here you’ll find all of my latest photographic outings with the couples, families, seniors and small businesses that I get to work with and make beautiful photographs for. You may also see a personal post here and there discussing my life or my travels with my teeny family of one husband and three cats! Sometimes I even write advice articles with tips to help make your photo experience better which you can check out under the “Educational” category.

Take your time and look around! Type in the place where you’ll be getting married in the search box to see if I’ve photographed there before. At the bottom of the page I’ve highlighted some of my favorite sessions and weddings from the past. Grab a drink and have fun going down the photo rabbit hole!

Colorado Engagement Photography | Autumn at South Mesa Trail in Boulder

November 14, 2016

Next September I get to photograph these two adorable humans on their wedding day at Sapphire Point up at Dillon Reservoir. The mountain view there is pretty epic due to the gorgeous blue snow-capped Ten Mile range from Breckenridge. So when Lindsay told me that she and Coty were planning to drive out from Kansas to get their engagement photos done I wanted to give some ideas that were pretty but different from what they’ll see on their wedding day. They ended up choosing the South Mesa Trail just outside of Eldorado Springs in the foothills of Boulder. We went at the tail end of the fall color but this trail boasts its own lovely mountain views and the range here is like the more rugged burly cousin to Colorado’s majestic high country mountains. They’re not quite as big but definitely pack a punch! Plus, it threatened to storm a bit so even though it didn’t deliver any real precipitation we were gifted with beautiful sunset stormy skies as a cherry on top to the photo session. I couldn’t be happier with how these turned out. Thank you, Lindsay & Coty for coming out for your photos. I hope you had fun on your quick jaunt to Colorado! I hope I get to meet Lola next time:)
