elcome to the journal for April O’Hare Photography! Here you’ll find all of my latest photographic outings with the couples, families, seniors and small businesses that I get to work with and make beautiful photographs for. You may also see a personal post here and there discussing my life or my travels with my teeny family of one husband and three cats! Sometimes I even write advice articles with tips to help make your photo experience better which you can check out under the “Educational” category.

Take your time and look around! Type in the place where you’ll be getting married in the search box to see if I’ve photographed there before. At the bottom of the page I’ve highlighted some of my favorite sessions and weddings from the past. Grab a drink and have fun going down the photo rabbit hole!

CU Boulder Engagement Photos

Pretty Spring CU Boulder Engagement Photos

I have the prettiest springtime CU Boulder engagement photos to share with the world today. It’s been a little quiet around here in this first part of Spring, but all of that is about to change because I just returned home from a week full of engagement sessions and weddings. I’ll be glued to my computer getting them all retouched and I can’t wait to share all of them on the blog. Today Hannah & Chase get to take center stage in these photos we created for them on campus at the University of Colorado in Boulder. They’ll be getting married in Boulder in just under a month and wanted to squeeze in a quick University of Colorado Boulder campus engagement photography session before their wedding day.

They attended the University of Colorado at Boulder and thought it would be a pretty place for their engagement photo session and they were absolutely right. The CU Boulder campus looks incredible during spring and has a great mix of gardens, flowering trees, and beautiful historic buildings too. I love the pretty architectural details found throughout like the building with pretty carved scroll designs and the arched stone bridges. The doors of the Mackey Auditorium are quite beautiful too and I love to catch portraits in front of them. But my absolute favorite structural feature to use in the portraits I create on campus is the three blue spiral staircases located just outside of the Old Main building. And that bridge across Varsity Lake is not too shabby either. Hannah & Chase were a really enjoyable couple to spend time with while creating their CU Boulder engagement photos and I can’t wait to photograph their wedding this June too!
