elcome to the journal for April O’Hare Photography! Here you’ll find all of my latest photographic outings with the couples, families, seniors and small businesses that I get to work with and make beautiful photographs for. You may also see a personal post here and there discussing my life or my travels with my teeny family of one husband and three cats! Sometimes I even write advice articles with tips to help make your photo experience better which you can check out under the “Educational” category.

Take your time and look around! Type in the place where you’ll be getting married in the search box to see if I’ve photographed there before. At the bottom of the page I’ve highlighted some of my favorite sessions and weddings from the past. Grab a drink and have fun going down the photo rabbit hole!

Denver Wedding Photography | Mountain Wedding at the Pines at Genesee

September 2, 2015

I have to most beautiful, purple colored wedding from the Pines at Genesee to share on the journal today. The couple featured on the blog today are part of what I like to call the “Myspace Romantics.” There are not a lot of people who can claim to be a part of this club since Myspace is no longer really a thing and it’s heyday seems so short-lived. I actually met my husband on Myspace and I haven’t met too many other couples who met this way. So when Alina and Rob told me that they met a long time ago on Myspace I immediately felt a little kinship with them. I know what it’s like to be with someone for a really long time before deciding to actually get married. It was really cool to see Alina and Rob on their wedding day because it felt more like a celebration of something that already was for them and not something totally new. Their relationship had that ease and comfort that comes from spending many years together. As they danced to Iron and Wine’s version of Such Great Heights their love just radiated out from them. It was incredibly sweet and I feel lucky that I got to photograph it for them:) And I have to give a little extra shout out to Alina for having such a kick-ass dress. It was so unique and I loved that it was basically two dresses in one!

Be sure to head over to the WEDDINGS page of my website to find more information about wedding photography!
