elcome to the journal for April O’Hare Photography! Here you’ll find all of my latest photographic outings with the couples, families, seniors and small businesses that I get to work with and make beautiful photographs for. You may also see a personal post here and there discussing my life or my travels with my teeny family of one husband and three cats! Sometimes I even write advice articles with tips to help make your photo experience better which you can check out under the “Educational” category.

Take your time and look around! Type in the place where you’ll be getting married in the search box to see if I’ve photographed there before. Loveland Colorado Engagement Photography at Devil’s Backbone

Devil’s Backbone Engagement Photos

I have some super cute Devil’s Backbone engagement photos featured on the journal this evening. Have I ever mentioned how much fun it is to photograph in a new place? Saturday afternoon I found myself driving up I-25 to get to Devil’s Backbone which is a pretty open space trail area just west of Loveland, Colorado. I was meeting up with Katelynn & Jake who are getting married next summer. They are hosting their reception in my hometown of Longmont at the DBarn. They wanted some pretty autumn photos and I think this location definitely delivered on that.

They also brought their totally lovable and GIGANTIC french mastiff dog they named Sully. Seriously, these photos do not do justice to the sheer size of Sully. He’s like 100+ pounds of pure energy and love! While I enjoyed photographing the three of them together, I was really pleased with how natural and romantic Katelynn and Jake were in front of the camera when we were photographing just the two of them alone. I am still getting to know them but to me they seemed to compliment each other very well. Katelynn is this super fun bubbly gal who makes lots of jokes and Jake is a little more reserved and stoic so they have that whole “opposites attract” thing going on at least on the surface. One thing that was clear for anyone who sees them is how in love they are:)

My favorite:)
