Evergreen Family Portraits in the Mountains of Colorado
I’m starting to feel like I’m an exclusively Evergreen family photographer these days despite technically living in Denver. I’ve been sharing my favorite fall color location with all of my clients and they’ve been taking me up on using the Beaver Brook Watershed trail head because it’s hard not to look at the photos I’ve created there at past sessions and not want the same for yourself! It’s been a lovely autumn season here in Colorado and the foliage up along Squaw Pass Road makes for some incredible family photos. This mom featured on the journal today actually found out about me from one of my other portrait clients who she works with. I’m so grateful she shared my name with this adorable family! I love what we were able to capture for them right at the height of the fall color at this location.
Family Portraits in Evergreen Gold Aspen Tree Foliage
I love their color scheme for these family pictures. I am a big fan of bold jewel tones during fall so that all of the pretty golden yellow tones don’t take all of the attention away from the family. The yellow in the clothing really pops and blends well with all of the fall color and the darker maroon red color and the lighter blues help soften it too. It was a bit of a drive for this family to make it all the way out to Squaw Pass Road in Evergreen. So it was no surprise that the kids were full of energy and ready to run around and play in this huge mountain meadow. I love that we were able to capture both some candid moments and some nice posed classic family portraits for them too. I selected a small handful of my favorites to share with the world below.
