Grand Lake Family Photos at Sunset

AA Barn and Point Park Family Portraits in Grand Lake

I’m excited to share another gorgeous family session on the journal today. This time I got to meet them up in Grand Lake, Colorado. We did two different spots on this beautiful sunny evening. We started off meeting up at the AA Barn area on the south side of Shadow Lake. The Colorado River runs next to the barn and it’s just a pretty little rustic location to get a few river photos with gently rolling mountains in the backdrop. We ended the evening over at Point Park which is my favorite spot in Grand Lake for photos because it has lots of pretty plant life and incredible, unobstructed views of Mt. Craig aka “Mt. Baldy” and the actual Grand Lake in front of it too. On this evening, Colorado was dealing with some poor quality air from wildfires (all too common now!) but that poor air quality did create a really pretty warm glowing light on them which I think looked lovely in their photos. Their kiddos were super sweet and managed to last through the entire session quite well. Below are a small handful of some of my favorites that we created that evening.
