Longmont Family Photographer at Coot Lake
This Longmont family photographer is really excited to share these gorgeous sunset family photos I did for a Longmont family at Coot Lake the other day. I had the pleasure of meeting this really nice extended family a couple of weeks ago up at Coot Lake near Longmont, Colorado when they reached out to see if I could photograph them while they were all together in one place. Their family is pretty spread out across the globe with one family living down south in Georgia where they are originally from and another living all the way over in the United Kingdom. Grandma and Grandpa moved out to my hometown of Longmont, Colorado where the 3rd family had settled after living for years in Hawaii. So as you can see, they don’t get together as often as other families probably do because of all of the distance between them. This is why I was so pleased that we were able to get these photos created for them.
Extended Family Photos in Longmont at Coot Lake
I think it’s a lot of fun getting the family together and spending time posing for pictures. We made sure to capture the entire group together and also broke it down into the individual families, the siblings together, cousins with grandparents, couples alone and more! We played some games and admired the beautiful sunset that evening at Coot Lake which is nestled right between Longmont and Boulder near the Boulder Reservoir. It’s a nice little spot with a small dock and lots of trees and shrubbery around the shoreline with plenty of dirt trails heading west toward the mountains and the Boulder Reservoir. During our session, we even got to recreate some older favorite family photos that they’ve taken in the past too! We photographed all the way through sunset that evening and managed to squeeze in some individual portraits for them too. I love how pretty this place looked once the sun set!
