Rainy Family Photos in Denver Colorado
I have some very wet, but very beautiful rainy family photos to share today. Back in May I had to reschedule the majority of my outdoor photo sessions here in Denver due to the incessant rain that we got. Although I was enjoying the cooler temperatures and all of the nice green plants we got because of it, I did start to get frustrated by not being able to photograph as often. But, there was one photo shoot where we chose to do the session in the rain due to time constraints. My friend Stacey who I met at the Rocky Mountain Rollergirls and her husband, Martin wanted to do a photo shoot as a gift for his parents who were celebrating their 35th wedding anniversary this June. Since the party was coming up, we powered through the rainy weather and actually came away with some pretty unique photos that you don’t often see here in Colorado.
Pretty Rainstorm Family Pictures at Roxborough State Park
We went to Roxborough State Park which has gorgeous red rock formations like the kind you see at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison. I loved the way the pretty fog draped over the rock formations making it look like a whole new place! We walked along the muddy paths and the tree branches held the raindrops making for some beautiful pictures of the family together The downside is that we got pretty darn wet but I think it was worth it to get something fresh and different than our typical sunny Colorado weather with bright blue skies. I am happy that Martin’s parents celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary in mid-June and so now I can share the photos without ruining the surprise!
