1920’s Wedding in Denver

I have the prettiest vintage 1920’s wedding in Denver to share on the journal today. I first met Liz when she was a bridesmaid in a wedding I photographed back in 2011. We met up awhile ago to discuss her wedding and as soon as she mentioned that she might want to incorporate a little bit of 1920’s vintage flair I got very excited. I am a big fan of Downton Abbey and I love vintage styled weddings. So I’ve been looking forward to her wedding day for quite awhile! She did a great job incorporating the roaring 20’s style (my favorite probably being her very pretty and unique veil and her long drop earrings). Liz and her groom, John, also used two very pretty locations on their wedding day. They married in a Catholic mass at Saint Catherine of Siena in North Denver. Later the reception was held at the Cherry Creek Marina & Yacht Club on the Cherry Creek Reservoir. I actually didn’t realize that Denver had any good wedding locations on the water since we don’t have many lakes but the Yacht club totally fit the bill with picturesque boats tied up at the dock right outside of the reception hall. With the fall foliage added in it was a beautiful place to host a wedding reception. They did an incredible job with the decor at their 1920’s Wedding in Denver by incorporating a Victrola at their guest sign in table. And Liz’s dress style looked very much like what you would imagine for a 1920’s wedding dress. She also did her hair in a 1920’s updo which made the 1920’s themed wedding come together that much more.

Look at this lil guest getting into the spirit of a vintage wedding:)
