Denver Senior Yearbook Portraits at Denver Botanic Gardens
Earlier in my career I used to photograph newborn babies, but as time went on, I realized it just was not the type of photography that truly made me happy so I took it off of my offerings and started referring those out. I found Raelene Kerner through an online facebook group we’re both a part of and loved her warm, dreamy, newborn photos. Since then I tell all of my clients who ask me about newborn photos to talk to her and she’s even photographed newborns for family and friends of mine so that I didn’t have to (and they are better off for it!).
Her daughter, Kaye, is a senior now and they got in touch with me because they wanted to have the full experience of going and getting senior photos done even though her mom could totally rock it for her. I mention all of this to say that Kaye would have rocked it with any photographer though I’m super glad I got to be the one to do this with them. Kaye was such a natural in front of the camera. We wandered around Denver Botanic Gardens for a couple of hours and created all of these magical photos together. Due to wildfire haze, the light was extra warm and it looked gorgeous in front of one of my favorite areas with the Japanese circle gate. We photographed all the way until the light was so gone we couldn’t really see the gardens in the photos anymore so we ended it. Kaye, you did amazing and you have incredible stamina. I think you’ll find that it was worth spending so much time though once you see all of the photos. Denver Botanic Gardens is a magical place!

I have a few openings left in October for senior sessions, so if you are looking for one last minute, take a peek at the SENIORS page of my site and get in touch!
