Colorado Family Portraits on Squaw Pass Road
I’m excited to get to share one of my first family sessions of the summer season though you wouldn’t necessarily be able to tell this took place in June and not April or May due to all of the rain we’ve been getting this spring. I am actually loving the cooler temps and all of the moisture and my yard especially loves it but it does make my job a little trickier. This family was in town visiting their son and brother from other parts of the US so I decided to keep their appointment instead of rescheduling since I wasn’t sure if we’d get a better evening while they were still in town and I didn’t want to mess up any plans they might have. We did get sprinkled on a bit at the beginning but luckily the rain eventually died off and we were able to finish up our session without getting completely soaked. We went to my favorite little aspen grove spot on Squaw Pass Road in Evergreen and as you can see, the aspens were just barely starting to grow their leaves. I love the contrast of the light spring growth against the dark evergreen style trees though. Below are just a small handful of some of my favorites that we got that evening.
If you’re looking to get some family photos created while you’re in Colorado I would love to help. Please take a look at the FAMILIES page of my site and get in touch!
