Summer Bar Mitzvah in Lakewood at BNai Chaim Synagogue

Summer Bar Mitzvah in Lakewood Colorado

I love photographing bar mitzvahs and this year I get to photograph a handful of them which I’m really excited about. The first one of the summer season was for this nice young man named Levi. We got lucky that morning with some nice cloud coverage making their outdoor portraits look so much nicer than they normally would at that time of day. After getting some pictures with their family outside, we moved indoors to get some photos with the Torah before the service began. It was a really great service. Levi had some of the longest passages to read in Hebrew that I’ve personally seen and he did an outstanding job. Everyone there was so proud of him. I really love to see young people work so hard on something and enjoy their accomplishment. I picked out some of my personal favorites from his day to share below.
