elcome to the journal for April O’Hare Photography! Here you’ll find all of my latest photographic outings with the couples, families, seniors and small businesses that I get to work with and make beautiful photographs for. You may also see a personal post here and there discussing my life or my travels with my teeny family of one husband and three cats! Sometimes I even write advice articles with tips to help make your photo experience better which you can check out under the “Educational” category.

Take your time and look around! Type in the place where you’ll be getting married in the search box to see if I’ve photographed there before. At the bottom of the page I’ve highlighted some of my favorite sessions and weddings from the past. Grab a drink and have fun going down the photo rabbit hole!

Summer Camp Vibes Be Mitzvah at Chatfield Farms Denver Botanic Gardens

Be Mitzvah Service and Party at Denver Botanic Gardens Chatfield Farms

Those of you who see my blog posts often will recognize this fun family on the journal today. I have photographed them a couple of times now at Denver Botanic Gardens. Today, I get to share an extra special event they just hosted at Denver Botanic Gardens Chatfield Farms. This is where I got married 12 years ago and it’s always fun to get to revisit this special place. Dena was celebrating her bat mitzvah which the family dubbed as the “Be Mitzvah” which I really like. They were going for a relaxed, almost summer camp vibe with guests sitting on the custom printed blue plaid blankets they created just for this celebration. I loved how much they incorporated dancing into the event both during the service and at the party right afterward. It was such a beautiful, laid back evening full of love. Below are some of my favorites we created that night.

Do you have a child who is working on their bar or bat mitzvah? I’d love to photograph the celebration for you. Please check out the MITZVAHS page of my website and reach out!
