Family of Four in the Autumn Color of Squaw Pass Road
It’s the busiest time of the year for portrait photographers and I’m continuing to try and edit photos as fast as I can to keep up with all of the recent sessions I’ve photographed. Today I get to share the family photos for this adorable family with two young sons. They drove all the way up to Evergreen and met me on Squaw Pass Road to take advantage of the gorgeous fall color. Unfortunately there was a whole week of wacky weather that kept threatening to rain but not really and so I decided to just continue to attempt to keep my appointments as best as I could considering I didn’t have much left to offer for reschedules and I was worried the color would be gone if we had to wait. We got started right away when we arrived, but the sky opened up that evening and we had to jump back into our cars to wait out the rain for about 10 minutes. But, once it let up, we were pretty good to go even though the ground became a little muddier than before due to the moisture. Still, it created some pretty dramatic skies for some of their photos and we ended up creating these gorgeous photos for them. You can’t tell from the photos but it was quite chilly that evening so props to these two kiddos for doing such a great job at their family photoshoot!
